Chris DeFlorio is a retired NYPD officer and former FDNY paramedic who now investigates real-world supernatural cases alongside his wife, Harmony, a former FDNY EMT.

After experiencing a profound spiritual awakening in Christ in 2009, the couple felt called to use their training as first responders in a different way—entering homes affected by unexplained phenomena and helping families facing spiritual oppression  to find peace and freedom through faith in God.

Their experiences have taken them across the United States and around the world and have been featured in newspapers, magazines, documentaries, podcasts, and television interviews. Chris and Harmony also appear in the documentary It’s Coming, which explores the reality of spiritual warfare.

These real-life encounters inspired Chris to write the Called Into Darkness series, beginning with Called Into Darkness: Two NYC First Responders Battle the Supernatural, followed by the companion novella Prey in the Dark: The Haunting at the 32. The true story continues with the upcoming sequel Descend Into Darkness: The Vanishing One.

Through his books, Chris and Harmony share the experiences that changed their lives and the unseen battles that most people never realize are happening around them.

 The stories shared in these books will challenge what many people believe about the unseen world around us.
